The author of the masterpiece Mikhail Nesterov from childhood loved to draw. Especially still a young author managed landscapes. A mature artist born in Ufa quickly became famous in secular circles of the capital. Success came to Nesterov after the exhibition of his most recognizable painting “Vision to the Youth Bartholomew” in 1890. Even then, critics noted not only the subtle spiritual background of the work, but also the excellent technique of depicting nature.
Later, already having a recognizable and famous name, the master wrote many more paintings, among them “Dali”. The work is not as famous as the other masterpieces of Nesterov. However, no less valuable. The picture is painted in oil on canvas and carries a whole palette of shades of green. Looking at the plot, one can feel the vastness of the Russian land, the breadth of the human soul. Among the hilly landscape overgrown with grass is a small lake. It is it that instantly attracts the eye and is a kind of image center. The painting says summer, but the yellowed trees hint at the imminent approach of autumn.
In this picture, perhaps, all of Russia is collected. In almost all regions of the country and now there are similar landscapes. Bright, green, giving a feeling of air and lightness. At the same time, there is a feeling of timid longing from the coming autumn. "Gave" a magical reminder of what a wonderful place we were lucky to be born and live.
