One of the most amazing masters of the Italian Renaissance considers Buonarroti Michelangelo. His contribution to the history of world art is great - he was not only a brilliant sculptor, but also an outstanding painter, poet, architect, thinker. In his works we see the embodiment of not only the physical, but also the spiritual beauty of man.

He considered it his personal tragedy to fulfill the whims of the patron sons. Michelangelo was a brilliant sculptor who perfectly felt marble. However, the whims of the popes were such that the genius had to deal with architecture, painting, paint murals and cast in bronze. Despite the fact that Michelangelo had to deal with the wrong business to which the soul lay, he managed to show his genius - many of his works we can admire to this day.

The artist gained his knowledge of anatomy while working with Realdo Colombo (a doctor and author of a book on anatomy). Michelangelo used all the knowledge in his work. The pinnacle of his work was the painting of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

The most mysterious picture is "Descent from the Cross." He did not have time to finish it. Some experts believed that the painting belonged to a brush by another artist, some found evidence that it was painted in a manner inherent in the early Michelangelo.

Disputes ended after evidence was found in 1981 of taking the order of Buonarroti Michelangelo to design an image in the altar for the church of San Agostino. In 1501, the artist, not finishing his work, left for Florence.
